It has been published by the Immigration Services Registration Office that they are currently experiencing a very large volume of applications for a renewal of permission to stay in the state. The current processing time to renew an IRP card is 3-4 weeks. It may also take an additional two weeks for the card to be sent back to the Applicant.
The Immigration Service are asking Non-EEA Nationals legally resident in the State and who are intending to travel over the Christmas holiday to submit any required renewal applications online by 31 October 2023.
