The President has recently signed into the law The Policing Security Community Safety Bill. The purpose of the bill is to provide clear and effective oversight over Garda accountability.
Some of the notable changes the Act implements, is the replacement of GSOC with a new body called Fiosrú. In a similar vein, The Policing Authority and Garda Inspectorate will be replaced by the Policing and Community Safety Authority.
